Entry-Level Forensic Civil/Structural Engineer (EI/EIT)

Location: Fully remote, with preferred residence in Greenville, SC or Charlotte, NC; frequent local and regional travel to investigation sites is required. U.S. Persons only due to ITAR-controlled information.

Salary: $32.00–$36.00 hourly, full-time

Provides forensic engineering, testing, inspection, certification, and compliance services across commercial, industrial, residential, manufacturing, power generation, aerospace, medical, and defense markets.

What you will do

• Conduct forensic investigations of structural failures and construction defects.
• Perform site inspections and collect data for forensic analysis.
• Apply civil and structural engineering principles to assess structural issues.
• Prepare technical reports describing findings and conclusions.
• Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings when required.
• Travel locally and regionally to support investigations and projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Licensed Engineer Intern status (EI or EIT) preferred, or the ability to obtain it.
• Ability to travel by road multiple days each week, with local and regional air travel as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR requirements.
