Contracts Specialist (Digital Media)

Location: United States — New York, NY; hybrid with in-office attendance requirements

Base salary: $110,000–$125,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate client statements of work, vendor master services agreements, NDAs, change orders, amendments, order forms, and insertion orders.
• Manage contract intake and lifecycle processes from initial request through signature, including status tracking, renewals, key dates, obligations, and records.
• Partner with project managers, Finance, Central Operations, and Legal to gather requirements, explain contract terms, and coordinate approvals.
• Use AI-powered drafting, review, and contract comparison tools, and provide feedback to improve workflows.
• Maintain standard agreements, templates, clause libraries, and negotiation playbooks.
• Escalate non-standard terms, high-risk issues, and complex legal questions to senior Legal team members.

Requirements

• BA/BS and J.D. degrees, with active admission in good standing to at least one U.S. state bar.
• New York Bar admission is preferred; candidates admitted elsewhere must be registered or eligible to register as In-House Counsel in New York.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, especially MSAs and SOWs.
• Knowledge of scope of work, payment terms, intellectual property, indemnification, limitation of liability, confidentiality, and data protection provisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, project management, and prioritization skills.
• Comfort with technology and willingness to learn AI-powered drafting and contract management tools.

Nice to have

• Experience in an agency, in-house legal, procurement, contracts, or law firm environment.
• Background in digital media, advertising, or technology.
• Experience with intake or ticketing platforms.
