VP, Head of FP&A, International Wholesale & Specialty

What you will do

• Lead and develop the International Wholesale & Specialty FP&A team, setting objectives, accountability and succession plans.
• Own strategic planning, operating plans, forecasting processes, assumptions, governance and review cycles across business units, regions and functions.
• Develop scenario analysis and financial models to support growth priorities, resource allocation and financial risk management.
• Lead performance analysis across premium, underwriting result, commission, expenses and profitability, translating findings into executive actions.
• Partner with senior business and finance leaders, providing constructive challenge and decision support.
• Improve management information, dashboards, data quality, automation and planning and reporting systems, including analytics and AI-enabled tools.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent relevant finance qualification.
• Significant FP&A leadership experience in insurance, reinsurance or a closely related financial services environment.
• Experience leading strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and executive performance reporting in a complex organisation.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives and provide evidence-based challenge.
• Experience leading, developing and retaining high-performing finance teams.
• Advanced financial modelling, analytical, data-quality and control capabilities, with experience improving FP&A processes and reporting systems.

Nice to have

• Experience in the Lloyd’s, specialty or international insurance market.
• Working knowledge of Anaplan, TM1, Oracle, Power BI or comparable platforms.
