Strategic Finance Lead (Robotics)

Location: On-site in London, United Kingdom, with travel to labs in Boston, San Diego, and Vancouver and to customer and manufacturing sites

What you will do

• Own unit economics models covering bill of materials, landed cost, deployment, service, uptime, robot payback, and lifetime value.
• Design Robot-as-a-Service and outright-purchase pricing, packaging, enterprise deal models, volume tiers, service levels, and software add-ons.
• Analyze acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and supplier investments from valuation through post-deal performance.
• Model venture debt, term loans, equipment and fleet financing, working-capital facilities, covenants, amortization, and capital headroom.
• Own the annual budget, rolling forecast, driver-based three-statement model, monthly business reviews, and scenario planning.
• Partner with operations, supply chain, and contract manufacturers on capacity, capex, inventory, standard costing, supplier terms, and make-versus-buy decisions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, corporate development, or investment banking, including at least 3 years in a high-growth, venture-backed company.
• Experience scaling a startup and building finance processes from scratch during rapid growth.
• Manufacturing or hardware experience with BOMs, standard costing, capex, inventory, and contract manufacturing; robotics, automotive, EV, aerospace, or industrial technology experience is relevant.
• Proven experience with unit economics, pricing, recurring or usage-based models, M&A analysis, and strategic transactions.
• Strong debt modeling experience, including venture debt, term loans, or asset-backed facilities and covenants.
• Expert Excel and Google Sheets modeling skills, familiarity with ERP and planning tools, and the ability to communicate recommendations to founders, boards, and investors.
