Director of IT Operations and Security

Location: Waltham, Massachusetts, United States; onsite role. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $156,000–$224,250 per year

What you will do

• Develop and execute IT strategy aligned with business goals and the company roadmap.
• Lead internal network operations, external network integrations, and secure connectivity.
• Manage infrastructure upgrades and cloud computing environments with managed service providers.
• Oversee deployment, management, and upgrades of customer-facing systems and services.
• Manage outsourced vendors and provide final-tier support for internal IT issues.
• Ensure security, business continuity, documentation, performance, capacity, and scalability of IT systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 7–10 years of experience in IT leadership roles and 3–5 years of IT people-management experience.
• Strong background in network architecture, IT infrastructure management, and cloud services.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and cloud-vendor management.
• Expertise in network troubleshooting, Linux systems administration, virtualization, and cybersecurity best practices.
• U.S. work authorization for any employer is required; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CCNP, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
• Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
