Data Migration Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Remote; preference given to candidates residing in Barbados

hirify.global is an international fintech company providing unified software for investment, general, and partnership accounting and analysis.

What you will do

• Export, organize, transform, and import data from legacy systems into hirify.global.
• Validate, reconcile, and analyze historical data against official records.
• Create and maintain data import and export interfaces with third-party systems and services.
• Develop Excel VBA macros and Python scripts for data collection, transformation, analysis, and reporting.
• Build validation and reconciliation reports and Power BI dashboards.
• Coordinate migration testing, documentation, Jira reporting, and multiple implementation projects.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience creating reports for business users of ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data validation, and VBA macros.
• Understanding of SQL queries, relational database structures, data integrity, and large-scale data analysis.
• Experience with Power BI, DAX, data modeling, and structured formats such as XML, CSV, and JSON.
• Python scripting skills and interest in applied programming and process automation.
• Ability to learn quickly, work independently and in project teams, and communicate effectively.

Nice to have

• Experience in accounting, finance, economics, banking, investment, trading, or hedge fund accounting.
• Knowledge of jXLS for report and template generation.
• Familiarity with Git, GitLab, Jira, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of Java or JavaScript.
