Director, Nursing Program

Location: Victoria, Texas, United States; occasional travel and work outside normal business hours may be required.

What you will do

• Lead, grow, promote, and advance the undergraduate nursing program.
• Explore options for developing graduate studies in nursing.
• Lead program evaluation, accreditation activities, curriculum development, faculty leadership, and academic administration.
• Teach online courses and apply instructional technologies in online and face-to-face nursing education.
• Coordinate transfer agreements and educational pathways with community colleges.
• Teach no more than three clock hours per week and support outreach across the Texas Gulf Coast region.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in nursing, or a doctoral degree in a related field combined with a Master of Science in Nursing, from an accredited institution.
• At least two years of professional nursing practice experience.
• At least three years of nursing administration or academic nursing leadership experience.
• Current, unencumbered registered nurse license or privilege to practice in Texas.
• Ability to organize, manage, and coordinate complex academic and professional activities.
• Ability to communicate effectively and meet qualification expectations of SACSCOC, CCNE, the Texas Board of Nursing, and A&M-Victoria.
