Thermal Imaging Instructor (UAV)

Location: Onsite in Hampshire, United Kingdom, with field work and regular travel throughout the UK; occasional overseas training support may be required.

What you will do

• Deliver accredited and non-accredited thermography training programmes.
• Teach infrared theory, thermal imaging applications, camera operation, data acquisition, interpretation, and practical inspection methods.
• Create practical exercises and case studies, assess learner competency, and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain training records and quality standards while supporting accredited-body requirements.
• Develop thermal imaging courses, course materials, inspection standards, and best-practice guidance.
• Provide consultancy, technical support, demonstrations, exhibitions, client engagement, video production, and e-learning support.

Requirements

• Proven thermal imaging and inspection experience.
• Strong understanding of infrared theory and experience delivering technical training.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to work with learners from different backgrounds and experience levels.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK and support overseas training programmes in person or virtually.
• Ability to work onsite and in field environments, normally 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday.

Nice to have

• Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 Thermography certification.
• UAV thermal inspection, building inspection, electrical, or engineering experience.
• Experience preparing reports and consultancy outputs.
• Teaching, assessor, or corporate-client experience.
