Junior Analyst (AI)

Location: San Francisco or New York City preferred; candidates elsewhere in North American time zones will be considered. In-office preferred, hybrid considered. Work hours: office hours.

hirify.global is an independent research and analysis firm covering the semiconductor supply chain and AI models, software, infrastructure, and economics.

What you will do

• Build and maintain company profiles and datasets with source links and dates.
• Research GPU cloud providers, AI model developers, funding, compute access, products, customers, and spending.
• Reconcile announced, contracted, installed, and available GPU capacity using company disclosures, financial statements, pricing pages, and technical materials.
• Build spreadsheet models for revenue, operating costs, cash flow, unit economics, token usage, serving costs, and AI compute demand.
• Prepare interview questions, record evidence, follow up on missing information, and collaborate with technical staff.
• Draft research notes and charts and support consulting projects with company comparisons, market research, and financial analysis.

Requirements

• Typically zero to three years of relevant experience; recent graduates and career changers are welcome.
• Comfort with spreadsheets, basic accounting, percentages, and financial statements.
• Ability to explain calculations, check units, reconcile conflicting figures, and maintain accurate source records.
• Clear writing and demonstrated interest in AI, technology markets, or business economics.
• Willingness to ask questions, learn unfamiliar concepts, and revise work after feedback.
• Prior GPU engineering experience, a CS or ML degree, CUDA, GPU cluster operations, and production software engineering are not required.

Nice to have

• Internships or projects in banking, investment research, consulting, accounting, or corporate finance.
• A company model, investment memo, or independently researched article demonstrating analytical ability.
• Python and SQL knowledge.
