Financial Controller (Manufacturing)

Location: Gateshead Area, North-East, United Kingdom; hybrid working with 2 days from home

Salary: Up to £65,000 per year

What you will do

• Own monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
• Develop and enhance financial controls and processes.
• Partner with operational stakeholders and provide insight for commercial decision-making.
• Manage audits and statutory requirements.
• Build, mentor, and develop the finance team while driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant; ACA, ACCA, or CIMA preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or operational environment.
• Strong management accounting, reporting, and business partnering skills.
• Ability to work strategically while remaining hands-on.
• Experience improving processes and implementing financial controls.
• Leadership experience or the motivation to develop and build a team.
