Senior Software Engineer, International (Fullstack)

Location: Toronto, Canada, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week

Salary: CAD 166,000–195,000 annual base pay, plus bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop full-stack products using React and TypeScript on the frontend and Go or Python for backend services.
• Deliver international capabilities including localized onboarding, KYC/AML identity verification, multi-currency funding, and regional trading experiences.
• Build growth mechanisms, localized promotion engines, and user acquisition pipelines for international markets.
• Design reusable internationalization frameworks and platform abstractions for expansion into new jurisdictions.
• Improve availability, latency, fault tolerance, observability, automated testing, and production operations.
• Collaborate with product, design, compliance, legal, and platform teams to translate jurisdictional requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience designing, building, and operating production systems across the full stack.
• Strong React and TypeScript experience with emphasis on performance, accessibility, and state management.
• Experience building distributed services in Go or Python with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures, Kafka, RESTful APIs, gRPC, service-oriented architectures, and microservice integration patterns.
• Experience owning complex features from technical design and phased rollout through production validation and maintenance.
• Clear communication skills for aligning distributed teams and non-technical stakeholders.
