Building Services Engineer (MEP)

Location: Shirebrook, England, United Kingdom — onsite at a large-scale retail warehouse.

What you will do

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the warehouse site.
• Install, maintain, commission, test, and diagnose mechanical and electrical building systems, including HVAC, lighting, power, and plumbing.
• Lead the practical application of technical works and troubleshoot projects and jobs.
• Support and oversee contractors, including compliance with site requirements.
• Supervise technicians and support their daily maintenance activities.
• Administer facilities software and collaborate with warehouse associates, suppliers, contractors, and internal departments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in MEP, multi-trade maintenance, or a similar role.
• Experience maintaining warehouses or large-scale sites through planned and reactive work.
• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent MEP qualification.
• Up-to-date 18th Edition qualification.
• PASMA, IPAF, ladder safety, or working-at-height training.
• Experience using hand and power tools, with the ability to diagnose problems and work under pressure.
