Project Manager

Location: Hybrid, based in Oakland, California, with the assigned work location within the PG&E Service Territory; travel approximately 15–20%.

Annual salary: $115,128–$175,080.

What you will do

• Define project scope, objectives, work plans, schedules, costs, resources, contingencies, and communications.
• Lead project teams and serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects.
• Track project costs, cash flow, forecasts, scope, schedule, performance, quality, and documentation.
• Coordinate vendors, specialized materials, deliverables, and low-risk EPC contracts.
• Assess risks, develop mitigation plans, manage changes, and incorporate lessons learned.
• Represent PG&E with contractors, government agencies, regulators, community groups, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 3 years of PG&E experience, or 4 years of non-PG&E experience, in project management, project controls, engineering, and/or construction.
• Experience applying project management methods and techniques to develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Proficiency with project management tools, SAP Financials, Work Management modules, and Microsoft Project Scheduling Software.
• Ability to wear company-provided personal protective equipment.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement from a remote office and assigned PG&E Service Territory location.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional certification.
• Knowledge of electric substations, gas and electric distribution, and transmission projects.
