Multi Skilled Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: 100% based at the kitchen in Blyth, Doncaster, UK; rotating 6am–6pm and 6pm–6am shifts, including some weekends.

What you will do

• Maintain production, fulfilment, and site-services equipment across Rudie’s Kitchen and Ace’s Pantry.
• Diagnose and resolve plant, machinery, and site-services issues in a high-volume production environment.
• Own machinery reliability and respond proactively to breakdowns and efficiency losses.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive the continuous improvement plan for the area.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, SOP writing, training, and shift handovers.
• Work closely with production, fulfilment, operations, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Strong multi-skilled engineering background with a recognised apprenticeship.
• Electrical bias with strong electrical diagnostics experience.
• HNC qualification in an engineering discipline.
• At least three years of experience in an engineering or senior technician role.
• Supervisory experience and broad knowledge of relevant safety legislation.
• Planning, organisation, communication, coaching, and analytical skills; PC literacy with cloud-based systems is required.
• Right to work in the UK is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with cooling systems, steam, air, water, gas, electricity, mixing, filling, cooking, freezing, or fulfilment equipment.
