Network Engineer 4

Location: On-site in Charleston, South Carolina; U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance are required

Salary: $60,000–$180,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Install, configure, maintain, upgrade, and replace network services, hardware, software, and firmware.
• Develop network designs, specifications, design documents, maintenance plans, and rollback plans for small projects and large programs.
• Author test plans, testing and commissioning procedures, test reports, and standard PITCO plans.
• Lead system integration testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance analysis.
• Investigate network security issues, recommend operational improvements, and document network operations and troubleshooting procedures.
• Coordinate with field engineers, project managers, clients, and other disciplines while supporting project deadlines, estimates, bids, and proposals.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related discipline, plus 7+ years of progressive experience.
• Knowledge of network concepts, technologies, tools, network infrastructure design, system architecture, project management, and analytical problem-solving.
• Understanding of ITIL concepts and security issues affecting network solutions.
• Strong oral communication, technical writing, presentation, collaboration, and stakeholder relationship skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with network schematics, startup, configuration, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, ticketing, and monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, or Arista platforms.
• Experience with Visio, Wireshark, PuTTY, CLI, spectrum analyzers, cable testers, or alignment tools.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and STIG applications for network systems.
