Senior Product Compliance Expert (DPP/EPR)

Location: Munich, Germany; hybrid with three in-office days per week and regular travel to the Mannheim headquarters

What you will do

• Own product compliance content from regulatory discovery through product implementation and ongoing maintenance.
• Analyze legislation, official guidance, and interpretations, clearly identifying gaps and uncertainties.
• Translate complex EPR, DPP, and related compliance requirements into structured content for product and engineering teams.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on product strategy, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
• Use AI and automation tools, including agentic systems, to research and maintain compliance content at scale.
• Manage compliance rules in Git, YAML, and JSON for integration with product systems.

Requirements

• 4–8 years of experience in product compliance, environmental compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
• Familiarity with EU compliance frameworks and proven experience with EPR and/or Digital Product Passport regulations.
• Strong analytical skills, including careful legislative analysis, gap identification, and edge-case testing.
• Experience working with product and engineering teams on functional requirements, data structures, and technical trade-offs.
• Professional experience with agentic AI tools or structured data management using Git, YAML, or JSON.
• Fluency in German and English proficiency at C1 level or higher are required.
