Product Specialist (Health & Biosciences)

Location: Hybrid role based in Chatswood, Sydney, Australia (Zenith Centre), preferably, or Madison, Wisconsin, USA

What you will do

• Coordinate customer projects across commercialization, product change management, and lifecycle support.
• Support industrial leads and sales teams across Oceania and ASEAN by assessing customer opportunities, feasibility, risks, priorities, and success factors.
• Partner with product development, contract manufacturing, sourcing, quality, food safety, and regulatory teams on formulations, samples, packaging, tolling, and issue resolution.
• Initiate and oversee workflows for new and modified stock keeping units, including timelines, dependencies, risks, approvals, and implementation.
• Support raw material approvals, purchasing specifications, product setup, and accurate data management in SAP, PriceForce, and product description platforms.
• Manage artwork changes, customer information and sample requests, site visits, innovation projects, and occasional travel to trade shows, customer locations, and tolling partners.

Requirements

• Experience in technology, research and development, project management, business development, marketing, sales, quality assurance, or a related function.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple short- and long-term projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration, customer interaction, communication, stakeholder management, and risk assessment skills.
• Proficiency with SAP or a similar ERP system and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail when managing product information, workflows, approvals, specifications, and system setup.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, marketing, business, science, or related field, with ability to travel up to 20%.

Nice to have

• Experience with probiotics, dietary supplements, food ingredients, food and beverage, or pediatric nutrition.
• Experience with probiotic manufacturing operations, quality management systems, or dietary supplement product workflows.
• Six Sigma, Lean, or similar continuous improvement experience or certification.
