Senior Sourcing Engineer

What you will do

• Monitor and improve supplier performance across total cost, capacity, capability, quality, location, flexibility, and lead time.
• Research, select, qualify, audit, and develop new and existing suppliers and alternate material sources.
• Drive corrective actions, supplier changes, recovery of costs related to non-conformance and late deliveries, and closure of performance deviations.
• Lead supplier negotiations, cost roadmaps, material cost-reduction programs, and cycle-time improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with design engineering, quality, commodity, sourcing, remote design, and customer teams to meet project milestones.
• Monitor role and project metrics, implement local sourcing policies, and communicate capital expenditures related to new technologies.

Requirements

• Experience managing supplier cost, capacity, capability, quality, location, and delivery performance.
• Knowledge of supplier selection, qualification, audits, sourcing strategy, and supply-chain improvement.
• Ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage material and cost-reduction programs.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, quality, commodity, sourcing, design, and customer stakeholders.
• Ability to work on-site in Binhai, Tianjin, China.
