Senior Software Engineer, Firefox Security (Cybersecurity)

Salary: €68,000–€91,000 EUR annually

What you will do

• Design, implement, test, and ship security and hardening features for Firefox enterprise users.
• Improve Firefox security architecture across multiple operating systems through privilege isolation and trust-boundary changes.
• Strengthen cryptographic protocols, WebPKI, and security-sensitive web APIs.
• Investigate security issues across teams, identify root causes, and deliver maintainable fixes.
• Diagnose and resolve stability, correctness, performance, and memory issues in a complex multithreaded environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of low-level software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C and/or C++ and a solid understanding of security fundamentals.
• Experience debugging multithreaded, cross-platform native applications, including memory and performance issues.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus interest or experience in Rust.
• Ability to work effectively in large, complex, multi-language codebases and collaborate with distributed teams.
