Senior Financial Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role based in Mexico City, Mexico, with office presence at EVO Lomas de Memelta

What you will do

• Drive financial planning, forecasting, budget analysis, revenue forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Analyze financial results, revenue targets, and year-to-date budgets to identify variances, root causes, and corrective actions.
• Review income statements, balance sheets, journal entries, reconciliations, and period-end reporting to maintain accurate financial records and controls.
• Prepare financial analyses, management reports, and presentations for senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Manage complex audit requests, identify financial and process risks, and support regulatory and internal compliance.
• Improve accounting systems, cost accounting methods, procedures, and budgetary controls while coaching less experienced colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or a relevant professional qualification such as CPA, CMA, ACA, CIMA, or ACCA.
• At least three years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Advanced analytical skills, including investigating complex financial issues, identifying root causes, and developing practical recommendations.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, and confidence working with financial systems and data.
• Ability to own complex assignments, make informed decisions, influence stakeholders, and coach colleagues.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Hyperion Financial Management, or Hyperion Planning.
• Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, financial reporting requirements, audit standards, and accounting regulations.
• Experience in a shared services, BPO, or multinational environment.
• CPA, CMA, or another relevant professional certification.
