FP&A Analyst (Insurance)

Location: Mexico City, Mexico; primarily office-based

What you will do

• Oversee expense management, including annual budget preparation and monthly rolling forecasts.
• Analyze expense variances against plan and prior periods, allocations, KPIs, headcount, and company performance.
• Prepare expense reports, management information, and materials for departments and board of directors meetings.
• Coordinate with internal groups to resolve budget and forecast issues.
• Validate cost-savings analyses and monitor compliance with documented expense-control procedures.
• Identify compliance and budget exposure risks and support data-driven cost decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years of professional accounting experience, including experience in the insurance industry.
• Knowledge of FP&A budget and forecast processes, accounting, treasury, internal controls, financial systems, and processes.
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and deadline-management skills.
• English at a medium level for writing, reading, and speaking is required.
• Experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook; SAP is highly desirable and Contpaq is desirable.

Nice to have

• Experience reporting to CNSF, particularly RR reports and regulatory requirements for insurance institutions.
• Change management experience.
• People management skills.
