Senior Solution Engineer (Public Sector)

Location: Singapore; scope covers Singapore and the broader ASEAN region

What you will do

• Partner with Sales and Customer Success to identify and execute expansion opportunities across existing public sector accounts.
• Lead technical discovery, architecture reviews, proof-of-value engagements, and production expansion for analytics, data engineering, AI/ML, data sharing, and data applications.
• Present Snowflake’s technology, roadmap, and value proposition to executives, technical leaders, and practitioners.
• Build tailored demonstrations, technical workshops, reference architectures, demo environments, playbooks, and best practices for government use cases.
• Advise customers on governance, security, performance, data sharing, marketplace capabilities, AI/ML integrations, cost management, and FinOps.
• Support RFPs, RFIs, security and compliance reviews, product feedback, field enablement, and mentoring across the Solution Engineering and Public Sector communities.

Requirements

• Extensive customer-facing solution engineering or pre-sales experience with data, analytics, cloud, or enterprise platforms.
• Proven success driving expansion or upsell within enterprise or public sector accounts.
• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT, data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouses, analytics, data science, AI/ML, generative AI, and data applications.
• Hands-on SQL expertise plus Python, Spark, or a similar data processing technology; familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of security, governance, identity and access management, encryption, auditing, data residency, and compliance for public sector workloads.
• Experience with Singapore or ASEAN public sector customers and Singapore Government Commercial Cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and data classification requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud-native data platforms in production at scale.
• Background with large-scale platforms such as Teradata, Netezza, Exadata, Greenplum, or Hadoop and migrations to cloud data platforms.
• Experience with Java, Scala, data sharing, data exchange, data marketplaces, OLAP models, BI tools, enterprise SaaS, or cloud and data certifications.
• Experience working with government agencies, ecosystem partners, GSIs, ISVs, resellers, and complex multi-stakeholder programs.
