Software Engineer, Securities Finance

Location: Remote - Americas

What you will do

• Build and operate backend systems for fully paid securities lending and customer short borrowing.
• Develop partner-facing APIs and batch pipelines that support new products and revenue streams.
• Own projects from problem definition through production delivery and ongoing support.
• Improve existing systems for higher volume, reliability, and operational impact.
• Work with securities lending, collateral, settlement, clearing, and short-sale infrastructure.
• Participate in on-call support and address recurring incidents at their root cause.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building distributed systems that run in production.
• Strong fundamentals in computers, networks, databases, and distributed systems, including failure modes.
• Professional experience with Go, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to design and evaluate RESTful APIs.
• Strong ownership, attention to detail, independent problem-solving, and willingness to support production systems.
• Ability to work remotely from the Americas.

Nice to have

• Experience with securities clearing, securities settlement, or securities finance.
• Experience with gRPC, Protobuf, Kafka or Redpanda, Grafana, Helm, or Docker.
• Experience with Temporal, daily batch jobs, file-based integrations, or reconciliation work.
• Familiarity with broker-dealer operations, Reg SHO, or short-sale rules.
