Software Engineer III (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the United States, excluding California. Occasional travel of 5% may be required, along with possible onsite interviews or in-person onboarding.

hirify.global develops digital banking and payments technology for community banks and credit unions, including web and mobile applications and an open API platform.

What you will do

• Build, test, deploy, maintain, and scale backend services in a microservices architecture.
• Develop services that power open APIs, online banking, and mobile banking products.
• Work with engineering teams to identify needs, prioritize work, and deliver product solutions.
• Develop a deep understanding of banking domains and assess how domain changes affect products.
• Collaborate with customer support to diagnose and resolve defects and production issues.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of programming experience, including Scala.
• At least 1 year maintaining cloud-native systems, microservices, or production systems.
• Experience with continuous integration pipelines, observability and monitoring, PostgreSQL or other relational databases, Kafka, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Participation in on-call support on a one-week rotation every five weeks.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without current or future immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Experience with Rust.
