Staff Fullstack Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own the architecture and technical roadmap for Trading API access, identity, authentication, authorization, permissions, account models, partner OAuth, and customer-facing applications.
• Design secure and auditable access models for multi-user accounts, sub-accounts, advisors, delegated APIs, and AI agent access.
• Lead development of trading applications with real-time market data, order entry, positions, and order views.
• Drive migration from legacy monolith endpoints to a dedicated application backend with clear service API contracts.
• Set standards for security, testing, staged rollouts, observability, and production incident prevention.
• Lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and partner with Product, Design, Compliance, Security, Brokerage Operations, and platform teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience across backend services and customer-facing applications.
• Experience owning production systems where defects could expose customer data, grant incorrect access, or cause financial loss.
• Deep knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, session and token management, MFA, and role- or attribute-based authorization.
• Strong backend expertise in Go, or deep experience with Java, Kotlin, C#, or Rust and willingness to work primarily in Go.
• Strong frontend experience with TypeScript and React, plus relational databases, REST, gRPC, Kubernetes, and service-oriented systems.
• Experience with threat modeling, testing strategy, safe production rollouts, technical leadership, and mentoring.

Nice to have

• Experience building trading, brokerage, or other financial applications with order entry, positions, P&L, charting, or real-time market data.
• Experience with identity platforms, passkeys, WebAuthn, delegated access, API platforms, developer products, or institutional trading workflows.
• Experience with agentic AI integrations, including MCP servers or tools that allow AI agents to act safely on users' behalf.
• Experience leading migrations from legacy monoliths in production-critical environments.
