Business Systems Analyst - AI Automation

Location: Remote. State-specific pay ranges are listed for Colorado, Washington, California, and NYC; actual pay may vary by location, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

Salary: $126,000–$201,600 annually in Colorado; $126,000–$222,800 annually in Washington; $126,000–$244,000 annually in California; $139,200–$244,000 annually in NYC.

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and document requirements for AI automation, agentic workflows, and business transformation initiatives.
• Map current-state and future-state processes, including decision points, exceptions, approvals, dependencies, and human-in-the-loop steps.
• Define system interactions, API touchpoints, event triggers, workflow boundaries, and handoffs between deterministic automation and AI decisioning.
• Create JIRA tickets, user stories, business rules, acceptance criteria, field mappings, and traceability documentation.
• Analyze data flows, validation rules, prompt and input requirements, reconciliation rules, auditability, and exception scenarios.
• Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, testing, UAT, governance, and continuous improvement with engineers, architects, and stakeholders.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering required.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Techno-Functional Analyst.
• Experience with AI automation, enterprise workflows, system integrations, APIs, n8n, Boomi, or similar automation platforms.
• Strong understanding of Agentic AI, REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, data mapping, and workflow orchestration patterns.
• Experience documenting requirements for automation, AI-enabled workflows, system interactions, and business process transformation.
• Strong analytical, structured problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
