EH&S Manager I (Biotech)

Annual salary: $107,445.10–$145,366.90

What you will do

• Implement, coordinate, advance, and support site-level environmental, health, safety, and sustainability compliance programs.
• Manage focus areas including industrial hygiene, industrial safety, and risk programs.
• Interpret environmental health and safety regulations and maintain compliance processes for federal, state, and local requirements.
• Interface with regulatory agencies during on-site inspections and maintain required records and documentation.
• Represent EHSS for research and development, product development, and internal service groups through inspections, incident investigations, risk assessments, and culture programs.
• Analyze data, develop improvement plans, facilitate training, and participate in emergency response activities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree, or a bachelor’s degree with 2 years of science and technology EH&S experience.
• Alternatively, an associate’s degree with 6 years of science and technology EH&S experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 8 years of such experience.
• Experience with EHS management systems and industrial safety programs such as LOTO, confined space, electrical safety, machine guarding, dock safety, or hazardous gas management.
• Experience with industrial hygiene programs such as biological safety, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, chemical assessments, or ergonomics.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, initiative, program development, and project management capabilities.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel.

Nice to have

• Postgraduate professional qualification such as Certified Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist.
