Senior Planning Engineer (Nuclear)

Location: Birchwood, Cheshire, United Kingdom. The role is associated with major infrastructure and nuclear project activities. Applicants must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Provide and manage planning frameworks, systems, and resources for major projects, portfolios, or business areas.
• Develop project work breakdown structures, schedules, Bases of Schedule, and project controls plans.
• Prepare, monitor, and forecast baseline and working schedules across all project phases.
• Track progress, changes, risks, project outturns, critical trends, and recovery options, including earned value analysis.
• Maintain planning databases and validate data across systems.
• Supervise and mentor Planning Engineers and Assistant Planning Engineers while working with project management, project controls, engineering, facilities, and client representatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Extensive experience planning, scheduling, and coordinating inspection and maintenance activities in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
• Advanced Primavera P6 and Excel skills.
• Good knowledge of multidisciplinary plant activities, sequences, and quality and integrity considerations.
• Strong planning, coordination, assurance, and integrity-related skills.
• Very good spoken and written English, and the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
