Project Manager (Nuclear Decommissioning) - Dungeness

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of major nuclear decommissioning and demolition work packages.
• Manage subcontractors and specialist demolition contractors, ensuring safe systems of work and high-quality outputs.
• Oversee deplanting, radiological waste treatment and disposal, asbestos survey and removal, strip-out, and demolition activities.
• Drive health, safety, environmental, quality, programme, commercial, and risk outcomes.
• Coordinate engineering, construction, radiological protection, commercial, planning, and regulatory stakeholders.
• Manage NEC4 requirements, including early warnings, compensation events, programme submissions, cost tracking, reporting, and project records.

Requirements

• MIDE or CCDO qualification.
• 10+ years of experience in major construction or infrastructure projects, with proven demolition or deconstruction experience.
• Experience managing projects in highly regulated or nuclear environments, including nuclear licensed sites and safety case requirements.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts, demolition methodologies, temporary works, sequencing risks, and subcontractor management.
• Experience with radiological waste management, decontamination, asbestos legislation, and hazardous-material handling.
• Strong leadership, commercial awareness, communication, risk management, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Degree, HNC/HND qualification, or relevant apprenticeship-level training.
