Buyer (Procurement)

Location: Onsite in Huntington Beach, California, US; the position is also stated to be based at the Nikkiso ACD facility in Santa Ana, California.

Salary: $59,800–$81,081 annually

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases provides cryogenic pumps, heat exchangers, process systems, services, and solutions for the LNG and industrial gases industry. Nikkiso ACD specializes in engineering and manufacturing pumps, turbines, and turboexpanders for cryogenic applications.

What you will do

• Source products and services and create RFx packages based on demand in the ERP system.
• Research, evaluate, and select suppliers based on capability, price, delivery, quality, and risk.
• Negotiate pricing and delivery schedules with vendors and monitor orders through completion.
• Maintain purchasing records in the ERP system, company database, and Microsoft Office reporting tools.
• Expedite orders, coordinate off-site vendor testing, and occasionally visit vendor locations.
• Review order and certification packages, resolve open ERP items, and provide weekly status reports to the Purchasing Manager.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge and use of Manfact or a similar ERP system required.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
• Knowledge of database systems preferred and willingness to learn the industry.
• Ability to work with internal and external teams and meet the physical demands of an office and manufacturing environment, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
