Sales Engineer (Cloud Data Security)

Location: Remote in Australia; Sydney. Travel of up to 50% within the assigned territory is required.

What you will do

• Support large, complex sales opportunities and contribute to incremental revenue.
• Identify customer business issues and architect information availability solutions using Cyera products and services.
• Deliver and manage proof-of-value engagements and use-case demonstrations on customer sites.
• Consult with executive stakeholders and explain complex technical concepts through technical demonstrations.
• Coordinate internal resources, support the sales organization, and help build a repeatable business model.
• Serve as the technical contact for partners and represent Cyera at marketing events.

Requirements

• Experience with cloud, TDR, CASB, DLP, or data security in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar technical sales role.
• Strong knowledge of AWS or Azure roles, permissions, and APIs.
• Fundamental experience with networking and databases, plus knowledge of data storage, encryption, key management, cloud IAM, and network design.
• Understanding of ML/AI, data regulatory frameworks, privacy, and data retention programs.
• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, problem-solving, and creative solution design skills.
• Knowledge of SFDC and opportunity tracking; willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals.
• AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Cloud Security Engineer or Architect, or Azure security and architecture certifications.
• CCSP certification.
