Enterprise Security Engineer (Cloud/IAM)

Location: Remote, based in hirify.global’s Australia/New Zealand entities; listed locations include Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, Australia.

What you will do

• Design, implement, operate, and maintain security controls across identity, endpoints, networks, AWS/GCP, SaaS, and data protection.
• Remediate access-control, device-posture, SaaS-configuration, and sensitive-data protection gaps.
• Implement identity lifecycle, privileged access, authentication, authorization, access reviews, service-account controls, and insider-risk monitoring.
• Maintain cloud and SaaS security guardrails, endpoint agents, device-compliance policies, configuration baselines, DLP, and data-classification controls across macOS and Windows.
• Build scripts, API integrations, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD security checks, runbooks, and operational automations.
• Support security operations, vendor risk reviews, on-call troubleshooting, post-incident reviews, and physical access-control integrations.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, cloud security, systems engineering, or enterprise technology.
• Hands-on experience with security controls across identity, endpoint, SaaS, cloud, network, and data-protection domains.
• Experience with IAM, directory services, SSO/MFA, and access governance, including tools such as Okta, Google Workspace, and Azure AD/Entra ID.
• Practical AWS or GCP security experience and familiarity with enterprise SaaS collaboration suites such as Google Workspace and Slack.
• Experience with Python, Bash, or Go, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, endpoint security, MDM, DLP, and data-protection controls.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, technical documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SaaS vendor risk assessments, third-party integration risks, and secure baseline standards.
• Awareness of cyber-related physical access-control systems and their integration with enterprise identity lifecycles.
