Security Engineer (Cloud Security)

Location: Remote from Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom; responsible for independent coverage during UK hours.

What you will do

• Fine-tune detection and response mechanisms.
• Review customer environments proactively to identify risks, exposed attack surfaces, and security improvements.
• Lead investigations into supply chain, API, malware, and runtime attack scenarios.
• Handle complex and critical incidents escalated from Tier 1 and Tier 2, including live customer engagements.
• Collaborate with Security Analysts, Research, and Backend teams to improve detection quality.
• Develop investigation playbooks and contribute to AI-driven detection models using machine learning.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in cloud security and emerging attack techniques.
• Availability to independently own UK-hours coverage.
• Experience conducting in-depth security investigations and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
• Ability to remain composed during high-pressure customer conversations.
• Knowledge of cloud attack surfaces, runtime threats, malware, APIs, and supply chain risks.
