Solution Architect I (Warehouse Automation)

Location: Remote, U.K.-based; one position in London

What you will do

• Align customer operations and business needs with warehouse automation and software solutions during pre-sales and solutioning.
• Lead site visits, discovery workshops, customer presentations, and collaboration with sales, product, delivery, customer success, system integrators, and 3PL partners.
• Prepare data analyses, AutoCAD layouts, solution models, bills of materials, proposals, functional requirements, and integration design documentation.
• Build engineered labor standards, productivity targets, simulation models, business cases, and ROI models for retail, e-commerce, and grocery customers.
• Support implementation teams in achieving layout, storage, throughput, productivity, and project KPI targets through go-live and sign-off.
• Develop junior solution analysts, create reusable solution templates and frameworks, and contribute customer feedback to product and technology roadmaps.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience is listed in the job details; the requirements section also references 7–12 years in solutions management, industrial engineering management, or solutions consulting.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or supply chain; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience with warehouse operations, warehouse automation, solution sales, pre-sales, and post-sales delivery.
• Strong technical, analytical, process optimization, supply chain, presentation, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to influence technical C-level decisions and manage or develop junior solution analysts.
• Must be based in the U.K.
