Senior AWS Java Full Stack Developer

What you will do

• Lead development and support of cloud-based applications in an AWS-focused financial services environment.
• Make component-level technical decisions and build secure, scalable Java and Spring Boot microservices.
• Improve application performance, reliability, operational readiness, and cloud cost efficiency.
• Guide implementation teams and align development with enterprise standards.
• Strengthen automated testing and software delivery practices while resolving complex distributed-service issues.
• Mentor developers, evaluate technical trade-offs, and document implementation decisions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of advanced Java experience, including concurrency, multithreading, JVM concepts, functional programming, and reactive programming.
• Strong Spring Boot, REST API, microservices, Spring Security, JWT, JPA/Hibernate, and transaction-management experience.
• Experience defining service boundaries and implementing resilient services with circuit breakers, distributed transaction patterns, and production monitoring.
• Strong Angular skills, including components, services, RxJS, state management, routing, API integration, and UI performance optimization.
• Hands-on AWS experience with EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, IAM, ECS, Auto Scaling, CloudWatch, and networking fundamentals.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with the ability to work 5 days onsite at one of the listed US locations.

Nice to have

• Apache Kafka experience covering event streaming, consumer groups, error handling, and performance tuning.
• Docker and Kubernetes experience with deployments, scaling, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• CI/CD and DevOps experience with Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• OpenAPI/Swagger, Playwright, LambdaTest, and UI test automation experience.
• Experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, including generated-code review and security practices.
