Maintenance Technician I

Location: On-site in Arlington Heights, Illinois, United States. 3rd shift: 11:00 PM–7:30 AM.

Salary: $28.75–$41.75 per hour.

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair assigned production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, automation, robotics, and ancillary equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures, resolve issues, escalate complex problems, and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
• Document work in CMMS and ticketing systems, including operating logs for facility systems such as fire pumps, generators, and HVAC equipment.
• Perform root cause analysis of major downtime events and verify that corrective actions resolve equipment and production problems.
• Complete facility and building maintenance projects, including plumbing, carpentry, door, lighting, ceiling, and furniture repairs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience repairing and maintaining conveyor, automation, or robotics equipment.
• Experience with CMMS, conveyor belts, clean rooms, machinery, Microsoft Excel, and PLC input/output logic systems.
• Ability to work on-site during the 3rd shift, stand for 8–12 hours, work up to 6 days per week, and work overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally, work at heights and on ladders, and operate material-handling equipment.
• Ability to follow Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash, PPE, and other equipment safety procedures.

Nice to have

• Experience with injection molding, blow molding, or BFS equipment.
• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or HVAC.
• Apprenticeship completion, current trade certification, or at least 3 years of building maintenance experience.
