Senior Solutions Architect Manager (SQL Server)

Location: Remote, United States; listed locations include Overland Park, KS, Tampa, FL, Chicago, IL, Portland, OR, and Phoenix, AZ. Must be based in the United States and authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Salary: $195,000–$210,000 USD annually, with possible annual bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop managers and technical professionals responsible for complex data-driven solutions.
• Review SQL/T-SQL code, answer technical questions, troubleshoot issues, and contribute hands-on when needed.
• Guide SQL Server development, query tuning, database performance optimization, and solution design.
• Work with extremely large datasets, including tables with billions of rows and environments involving approximately a trillion or more rows.
• Lead large projects, balance changing priorities and deadlines, and build partnerships across technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
• Collaborate with clients and data experts on incoming data, incomplete files, data rollups, data processing, and translating business requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing technical teams and current or recent experience in an established technical management position.
• 10+ years of SQL Server and/or relational database experience.
• Advanced SQL Server knowledge with recent hands-on T-SQL experience.
• Strong experience with query tuning and database performance optimization.
• Experience working with large, complex datasets.
• Strong people-management and technical-leadership capabilities.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Experience managing large projects and changing priorities.
• Comfort collaborating directly with clients and technical stakeholders.
• Must be based in the United States and authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Nice to have

• Experience with datasets containing billions of records.
• Experience automating outgoing file transmissions and receiving or loading incoming files.
• Experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, Angular, React, or related software-development technologies; a .NET background is helpful but not required.
• Legal Services or class-action experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
