What you will do

• Develop mortgage business through internal and external referral sources and community relationships.
• Evaluate customers’ credit potential and financial information to recommend suitable mortgage and other financial products.
• Guide customers through loan applications, approval, underwriting documentation, and closing.
• Maintain client relationships and provide customer service throughout the lending process.
• Stay current on lending regulations, pricing, products, and procedures while identifying cross-selling opportunities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of mortgage loan origination experience, preferably in a bank.
• NMLS license.
• Knowledge of mortgage products, procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines.
• Effective written and verbal communication, organizational, multitasking, and PC/internet skills.
• Must already be authorized to work full-time in the United States; immigration sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Existing pipeline and book of business.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending, and portfolio programs.
