HL Home Preservation Officer (Mortgage Loss Mitigation)

Location: Fully onsite in Hillsboro, Oregon

Salary: $25.00–$33.00 per hour, with potential performance-based incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Manage loss mitigation, home preservation, collections, and delinquent single-family mortgage accounts.
• Analyze borrower income, assets, debt obligations, and financial hardship to determine appropriate workout solutions.
• Manage a multi-investor pipeline and maintain accurate customer, investor, and collection records.
• Process forbearance, repayment plans, modifications, short sales, deeds-in-lieu, and foreclosure activities.
• Track bankruptcy filings, payments, litigation items, property inspections, eviction processing, and property preservation services.
• Complete investor and insurance loss claim forms and maintain compliance with bank and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Proven ability to collect and analyze borrower income, assets, and current debt obligations.
• Knowledge of at least two investors or programs including Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, FHA, VA, GNMA, OHA, and USDA.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for managing internal and external customer relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with personal computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, and related business software.
• High school diploma or GED and a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or an equivalent field are preferred.
