Software Engineer, Data and AI Platform

Location: San Francisco, CA or Sunnyvale, CA, United States

Salary: $130,600–$192,000 USD annual base salary, plus potential equity grants.

hirify.global operates an on-demand logistics platform and develops global infrastructure for a marketplace connecting consumers, merchants, and delivery workers.

What you will do

• Build agentic analytics and AI-assisted reporting features for thousands of users.
• Develop data platform capabilities for report authoring, dashboard runtime, drill-downs, cross-filtering, scheduling, alerting, certification, permissions, and embedding.
• Stream large result sets to browsers and render interdependent dashboard components.
• Evolve semantic-layer modeling, metric and dimension governance, lineage, metadata, and data discovery platforms.
• Own query planning, federation, adaptive caching, cache invalidation, and safe execution across multiple query engines.
• Develop AI-enabled services, assistant workflows, evaluation tooling, and production data applications.

Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of industry software engineering experience.
• Strong backend engineering skills with Go and Python, including production service ownership.
• Experience shipping LLM-powered features, retrieval and grounding systems, and evaluation systems to real users.
• Experience building data platform products such as semantic layers, data discovery, reporting applications, caching systems, or data applications.
• Production experience with AWS or a similar cloud environment, Kubernetes, MCP or agent frameworks, reporting and analytics tooling, governance, and multi-tenant data platforms.
