Senior AI Engineer (AI Platform)

Location: New York, NY, United States

Base salary: $188,000–$235,000 USD per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Drive end-to-end delivery of AI-native products from prototypes to scalable production services.
• Architect and build core AI platform components involving LLMs, vector databases, prompt tuning, and agentic frameworks.
• Develop agent capabilities such as MCP, cross-platform tool use, web browsing, and computer use.
• Enforce technical discipline and operational excellence across AI products.
• Evaluate performance, incorporate user feedback, and adopt new AI technologies and frameworks.
• Partner with product managers and engineering teams to turn strategic goals into production-ready systems.

Requirements

• 3–6+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• Expertise with Python, Golang, gRPC, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Experience owning and shipping complex, production-grade systems.
• Experience shipping and maintaining AI-native products or features, or significant personal AI projects.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong ownership, execution, and rapid iteration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs and agentic systems.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, LangChain, or MLflow.
• Advanced understanding of the probabilistic systems behind modern LLMs.
• Experience building AI products in accuracy-sensitive domains such as finance.
