Systems Engineer (Linux/Python)

Location: Dublin, Ohio, United States / Hybrid; typically three days per week on-site, with additional on-site days possible based on business needs.

What you will do

• Provide operational support for Unix/Linux systems across multiple business units.
• Configure and maintain Unix/Linux operating systems, physical server hardware, storage, packages, and system-level access.
• Troubleshoot system-level issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain availability, reliability, and performance.
• Perform load, capacity, performance, and acceptance testing activities.
• Apply AI-driven automation and predictive analytics to monitor system health and identify potential failures.
• Develop internal Python tools, API integrations, and automation layers for DevOps and monitoring platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or a related discipline, and/or 2–4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Hands-on experience supporting Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving system-level issues.
• Working knowledge of server virtualization technologies.
• Understanding of Python and scripting for automation and API integration.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and interest in AI tools and AIOps methodologies.
