Salesforce Developer (Public Sector Solutions)

Location: Fully remote within the United States, with occasional travel to the client's Washington, D.C. office. Must support US Eastern time zone working hours. The role is listed in Reston, Virginia, United States.

Salary: $81,499–$138,549 annually for full-time employment.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and configure Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, flows, and other low-code/no-code tools.
• Configure Salesforce Public Sector Solutions and Experience Cloud for grants management, case management, citizen engagement portals, workflows, reporting, and communications.
• Build and maintain secure integrations with external systems and support data mapping, transformation, migration, and validation from legacy platforms.
• Develop accessible user experiences aligned with Section 508 and WCAG standards.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into user stories, workflows, and technical features.
• Write documentation, execute unit/integration/regression testing, troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and support user training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions and Salesforce development tools such as VS Code, Salesforce CLI, and Workbench.
• Experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, OmniStudio, Salesforce configuration, and org administration.
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations, middleware or ETL tools, DevOps activities, package deployment, code scanning, and regression testing.
• Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder, perform the work in the United States, and be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
• Must have lived in the United States for three full years out of the last five years.

Nice to have

• Active Salesforce Administrator or Platform App Builder certification and Salesforce Developer certification.
• Prior experience with federal government clients.
• Experience delivering user training or creating technical documentation for Salesforce solutions.
