Salesforce Software Engineer II (Remote)

Location: Home based in Oak Brook, Illinois, United States. Remote status and role locations may change; relocation is not provided.

Salary: $87,100–$111,000 per year, with possible incentive and bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and declarative capabilities.
• Build and maintain secure integrations with internal and external systems through REST APIs, SOAP services, event-driven patterns, and middleware.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with Product Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and Engineering teams.
• Contribute to Salesforce architecture with emphasis on scalability, maintainability, performance, and security.
• Support Lightning Experience, OmniStudio, platform modernization, code reviews, technical design reviews, and production troubleshooting.
• Use Git-based source control, Salesforce DX, Copado, and CI/CD practices for automated deployments and release management.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of Salesforce development experience in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce Flows, validation rules, and security and sharing models.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with third-party systems using REST and/or SOAP APIs.
• Understanding of Salesforce governor limits, platform performance, secure development, troubleshooting, and debugging.
• Experience with Agile development, Git-based source control, and modern DevOps practices.
• Ability to work independently, communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and drive solutions with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• Salesforce Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II, or Salesforce Administrator certification.
• Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, OmniStudio, Service Cloud, MuleSoft, or other integration platforms.
• Experience with Copado, Salesforce DX, Gearset, Jenkins, event-driven integrations, or enterprise integration patterns.
• Background in financial services, fintech, retirement, wealth management, or regulated industries.
