Cloud Data Migration Specialist (Salesforce)

Location: Fully remote within the United States, with occasional travel to the client's Washington, D.C. office. Must support US Eastern time zone working hours.

Salary: $81,499.00–$138,549.00 per year.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end data migration activities, from source assessment and planning through extraction, transformation, loading, production migration, and validation.
• Analyze source and target data models, relational structures, dependencies, data quality, and Salesforce object relationships.
• Develop source-to-target mapping documents, data dictionaries, transformation rules, runbooks, validation reports, and issue logs.
• Use ETL tools, SQL, Salesforce Data Loader, APIs, and related utilities to cleanse, transform, and load data.
• Plan and execute mock conversions, troubleshoot migration issues, and refine migration processes before production deployment.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, Business Analysts, Salesforce Architects, and Developers to reconcile data, resolve discrepancies, and obtain sign-off.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in enterprise data migration, data conversion, ETL development, or data integration.
• 3+ years of experience with data modeling, relational databases, complex data relationships, and end-to-end Salesforce migrations.
• 2+ years of experience with Salesforce migration utilities, APIs, ETL technologies, and SQL for profiling, transformation, and validation.
• 2+ years of experience creating source-to-target mapping documentation and managing data quality, reconciliation, and migration exceptions.
• Must be able to work remotely from within the United States and support US Eastern time zone hours.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions, Service Cloud, or other enterprise Salesforce applications.
• Experience with Informatica, Talend, MuleSoft, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Salesforce Bulk API, or large-volume migration techniques.
• Experience with cutover plans, rollback procedures, migration automation, reconciliation processes, and production runbooks.
• Experience supporting federal government or complex enterprise data migration initiatives.
• Familiarity with FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST requirements, or relevant Salesforce and data management certifications.
