Production Supervisor (Robotics)

What you will do

• Lead daily production of Hovermap ST-X and GX1 units, including scheduling, line balancing, resource allocation, and monthly build-plan delivery.
• Own production quality, first-pass yield, rework rates, build documentation, traceability, testing, and calibration standards.
• Manage production-area safety, toolbox talks, hazard reporting, incident investigations, WHS compliance, ESD controls, and electronics handling standards.
• Coordinate with Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and suppliers on kit readiness, component shortages, non-conformances, and design-for-manufacture improvements.
• Lead, coach, roster, onboard, and develop a team of approximately 8–14 production technicians.
• Standardise work instructions, reduce cycle-time waste and rework, and support the transition to scalable repeatable production.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in electronics, robotics, aerospace, defence, or precision hardware manufacturing.
• At least 2 years of experience supervising a production team.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver build plans in a constrained supply environment.
• Working knowledge of quality systems, traceability, and WHS requirements.
• Clear, direct communication with a proactive approach to escalation and problem-solving.
• Hands-on, data-led leadership with strong accountability for production standards and outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 environment.
• Lean or continuous improvement training.
• Experience with ERP and MRP systems.
• Experience scaling products from low-volume builds to repeatable production.
