Staff Software Engineer (Customer Platform)

Location: Remote in Canada, the United States, or the United Kingdom

What you will do

• Own customer platform features from design through implementation, rollout, and iteration.
• Design, build, and evolve backend systems in Go, including REST and gRPC APIs for entitlements, policies, and customer onboarding.
• Build integration paths between Customer Platform and engineering teams working on containers, libraries, and operating system packages.
• Extend the agentic AI foundation into customer-facing product experiences.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to senior and mid-level engineers.
• Help prioritize a product-driven roadmap, resolve ambiguity, and ship iteratively against clear outcomes.

Requirements

• Production experience with Go.
• Strong experience designing and operating APIs and backend systems at scale.
• Experience aligning multiple engineering teams on technical standards, integration patterns, and shared infrastructure.
• Ability to diagnose ambiguous problems, recommend solutions, and define a path forward.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and provide technical guidance without a management title.
• Ability to work remotely from Canada, the United States, or the United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud-native environments, Kubernetes, and cloud provider APIs.
• Experience with entitlements, billing systems, or platform infrastructure.
• Experience building or extending AI-powered product features.
