Facilities Maintenance Utility Technician

Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin, United States; onsite at the Waukesha facility. First-shift schedule: 5:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. or 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

Salary: $60,000–$90,000 per year, depending on relevant experience, technical certifications, and other job-related criteria.

What you will do

• Perform basic facility repairs and general maintenance, including wall patching, door repairs, and light-bulb replacement.
• Inspect facilities and assist with preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Monitor HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security systems and report issues.
• Support licensed technicians and contractors during repairs and installations.
• Operate forklifts, load and unload trucks, and support office moves, furniture assembly, and workspace setup.
• Maintain maintenance areas, tools, supply inventories, and prompt responses to service requests and emergencies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or technical certification is preferred.
• At least one year of experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field.
• Knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures, including industrial forklift or lift-truck operation.
• Organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with maintenance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and follow safety procedures.
