Associate Manager – Private Equity Fund Accounting

Location: New York City, United States — hybrid

Salary: $65,000–$115,000 USD base salary per year, plus potential discretionary bonus and/or equity awards.

What you will do

• Manage private equity fund relationships and oversee alternative investment fund accounting engagements.
• Review quarterly financial statements, investment data, partners’ capital allocations, fund net asset values, and accrual bookings.
• Prepare, review, and maintain general ledgers, sub-ledgers, and trial balances under IFRS, US GAAP, and local GAAP.
• Act as the primary liaison for clients and coordinate with auditors, law firms, and tax advisors.
• Support implementation, onboarding, and setup of new client entities while improving operational processes.
• Plan and monitor deliverable quality and timing, reconcile client metrics, and provide technical training to junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience focused on alternative investment funds.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and other comprehensive bases of accounting, especially investment partnerships.
• Experience with consolidated financial statements and minority interest.
• Strong time-management, multitasking, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency with advanced Excel skills.

• Private equity or real assets experience.
• CPA designation and/or MBA.
