Manager, Private Equity - Fund Accounting (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Edina, Minnesota, or Dallas, Texas, United States

What you will do

• Manage professional and clerical staff responsible for fund accounting activities.
• Deliver accounting and reporting services for hedge funds, private equity funds, and other investment products.
• Oversee daily and monthly profit and loss reporting, balance sheet reviews, NAV packs, and fund valuation.
• Review fund accountants’ work and provide technical expertise on accounting responsibilities.
• Respond to requests from portfolio managers, auditors, and Global Fund Services management.
• Lead training, coaching, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in financial markets accounting.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, dispute-resolution, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with internal controls, customer service, continuous improvement, and team leadership.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, financial market securities, and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work in a changing, fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• Hedge fund and private equity accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of TNR, Investran, Geneva, and Geneva World Investor.
• CMA, CPA, or CFA Level 1 qualification.
